Delmar HatesohlDelmar Hatesohl was born September 19, 1929, in Linn, Kansas. He received a bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism in 1951 from Kansas State University, a master's degree in agricultural economics in 1959 from the University of Missouri, and a doctorate in 1966 from Oklahoma State University.

Following graduation from Kansas State, he served on active duty for two years in the Air Force. In 1954, he joined the Missouri information staff as assistant editor. When he retired from the Missouri information staff in 1985, he was associate director of extension information and professor of extension education.

Hatesohl then worked for the Mid-America International Agricultural Consortium doing consulting in Somalia, Pakistan, Liberia and Kenya.

In 1987, he moved to Linn, Kansas where he has farmland. In retirement, he is active in a local booster club, the American Legion and other community activities.
