Are you new to ACE?

Get the most from your ACE membership!

Join one or more Learning Communities. Network with professionals with similar interests and participate in professional development opportunities. Learning Communities communicate through electronic discussions and listservs, as well as during meetings at the ACE annual conference.

Get to know your ACE State Representative.  He/she is responsible or coordinating ACE activities and membership recruitment in your state, and is a great resource for ACE information. When in doubt, contact your rep!

Show us your stuff. Enter your best work in the ACE Critique and Awards program. There are categories for everything from magazines and videos, to feature story writing and photography. Entries are due January 31.

Be social. Follow ACE on Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube. Many of the Learning Communities have social media sites, too.

Mark you calendar. Attend the Annual ACE Conference. Join more than 250 communications and marketing professionals for a week of networking, learning, and fun!

Share your research and expertise in the Journal of Applied Communications. JAC is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, professional online journal.

Take advantage of the numerous professional development opportunities offered by the Learning Communities and at the Annual Conference.  Also share your expertise by volunteering to present your knowledge through one of these venues.

Follow your leaders.  The ACE Board consists of four officers (Vice President, President-elect, President and Past President), six directors in charge of different areas (Marketing, Membership, Professional Development, Research, SIGs and Retirees), as well as a Treasurer (ex-officio) and Executive Director. When elected, officers take the position of vice president and work their way up the ranks, serving on the board for four years. Directors serve their first year as a non-voting director-elect, followed by two years as director for a total of three years on the board.

Look for new opportunities. ACE provides access to job postings for career opportunities around the world.
