Content Strategist
Oregon State University

Oregon State University’s (OSU) Extension and Experiment Station Communications unit (EESC) invites applications for a Content Strategist. This full-time position is based on OSU’s main campus in Corvallis.

The Content Strategist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a content strategy focused on enhancing engagement with learners and increasing awareness of the value, relevance, and impact of the OSU Extension Service (OSU Extension).

Day to day, the person in this position collaborates with EESC colleagues and program/topic-based content teams to plan and manage content and associated processes for OSU Extension’s online presence.

This position requires collaboration with EESC team members and Extension colleagues and leadership, as well as with other university communicators and technologists. The ability to champion content strategy, while communicating effectively and establishing and sustaining strong relationships with these stakeholders is critical to success.

Student Service Specialist - Purdue University Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education

The College of Agriculture's department of Youth Development & Agricultural Education (YDAE) is seeking a student services professional to provide academic support to students within the department.  This will include academic advising and student club sponsorship.The primary target audience will be students enrolled in YDAE's agricultural communication program, but will also provide support to students in the agricultural education program as needed.



  • Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the position
  • Three years' experience in student services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
  • Basic proficiency in following software: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid US or Canadian driver's license.


  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communication or closely related.
  • Experience in academic advising.
  • Knowledge of programs and majors at Purdue University.

  • Doctorate in agricultural education, agricultural and extension education, agricultural communications, or a related discipline
  • Experience and/or knowledge in oral and written communications in the context of agriculture and life sciences
  • Demonstrated interest in and commitment to diversity and to quality teaching in higher education
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, administrators, and industry professionals
  • Exhibited initiative and drive when working with formal and nonformal education groups
